Sponsorship and Community Involvement
In addition to sponsoring worthy causes such as the United Way and the Red Cross, we support activities that benefit people and the environment, promote prevention, and improve communities.
Here are some of the activities we support.

Driving to the Edge documentary
Road safety is an important social issue. That’s why Desjardins is sponsoring the documentary Driving to the Edge by Paul Arcand. This educational film is one way we can help protect young people by encouraging them to drive responsibly.

Paper Challenge
Launched on Earth Day in 2005, the Paper Challenge encourages our employees to use paper more responsibly. This company initiative calls for a 15% reduction in paper usage. In addition, as of June 2007, we use only recycled paper.
A DGIG first!
Some of our initiatives have been underway for years, but this is the first time DGIG has published an official report on social responsibility and sustainable development.
